The dollar price in Egypt on Monday, March 1, 2021

The exchange rate of the dollar against the Egyptian pound, during the trading of Monday, March 1, 2021, in most banks in the Central Bank.

For other currencies, the Egyptian pound increased against the euro and sterling and fell against the Saudi riyal and the UAE dirham.

Dollar Price in Egypt
The average price of the dollar in Egypt on the website of the Central Bank of Egypt increased to 15.6575 pounds for purchase and 15.7575 pounds for sale, compared to 15.6456 pounds for purchase and 15.7456 pounds for sale, yesterday.

At The National Bank of Egypt (the largest government bank) the dollar increased to 15.64 pounds for purchase and 15.74 pounds for sale, compared to 15.63 pounds for purchase and 15.73 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The same price and the same increase are repeated at The Bank of Egypt, the second largest government bank.

At CIB, egypt’s largest private bank, the dollar recorded 15.65 pounds for purchase and 15.75 pounds for sale.

The strength of the economy
Egypt’s economic indicators are improving despite the Corona pandemic, amid a state of stability in the exchange market with the availability of foreign exchange.

The increase in Egypt’s cash reserves was supported by the strength of the local currency against the greenback, as well as the stability of the money market and the absence of the parallel market.

Egypt’s foreign exchange reserves continued its eighth-month ascent, after being affected by the repercussions of Corona for three months.

Egypt’s central bank announced a rise in the country’s foreign exchange reserves to $40.101 billion in January.

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad rose significantly in 2020, representing strong support for the pound against the dollar.

The Central Bank of Egypt announced that the country received $27.1 billion in remittances from Egyptians working abroad from January to the end of November 2020.

Eur and GBP prices
The average exchange rate of the euro on the Website of the Central Bank of Egypt, fell to 18.90 pounds for purchase and 19.03 pounds for sale, compared to 19.14 pounds for purchase and 19.26 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The average exchange rate of the pound in the central bank fell to 21.18 pounds for purchase and 21.96 pounds for sale, compared to 22.12 pounds for purchase and 22.27 pounds for sale, yesterday.

Prices of rials, dinars and dirhams
The exchange rate of the Saudi riyal increased to 4.1747 pounds for purchase and 4.2016 pounds for sale, compared to 4.171 pounds for purchase and 4.198 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The average price of the Uae dirham rose to 4.2623 pounds for purchase and 4.2903 pounds for sale, compared to 4.259 pounds for purchase and 4.287 pounds for sale, Sunday.
